PA 603 CF
Carbon Fiber Filled
SLS MATERIAL
The new formulation, thanks to ALM’s expertise in the field of materials for 3d printing, of Nylon PA220 and carbon fiber allows us to 3D print highly functional and very high performance parts.
The material, used in Prosilas, is sintered in SLS 3d printers through the powder bed technique.
Carbon fiber gives this material durability, dimensional stability even on the Z axis and very high surface resolution.
The excellent rigidity and a maximized weight-resistance ratio allow the creation of functional parts designs for applications for the motorsport, automotive, race and high-impact sports equipment sectors.

Finishing and post-process
of PA 603 CF
Prosilas, a member of the Prototal Industries group, also offers its customers a state-of-the-art post process service.
PA 603 CF surfaces can be sandblasted, but are not suitable for polishing. The black color that comes from the powder reinforced with carbon fibers allows to obtain a detail that will be uniformly colored throughout its volume. Any deposition of a metal coating for structural purposes can combine the excellent characteristics of the base material with the thermal and mechanical properties typical of a metal with a thin tubular structure.
Application of PA 603 CF
Nylon filled with carbon fiber is suitable for making components that will be subjected to strong mechanical stresses and for which the highest possible performance in the field of sintering from nylon powders is required: prototypes, functional parts, gear systems, articulated objects, but also medical or electronic elements. For these reasons, it is therefore a material that finds its ideal field of application in the field of aerodynamic components and for details dedicated to use in motorsports, for high-impact sports equipment, racing applications and model testing in the wind tunnel.
Properties of PA 603 CF
The sintered parts based on PA 603 CF possess excellent properties, in particular extreme rigidity, excellent resistance to deformation and hardness, lightness, high surface resolution and electrical conductivity.
Maximum resistance also on the Z axis.
